I Look and I Feel.

I look out at the countryside around me, looking beyond the picture that is garnered by my eyes. Like looking to the heavens and counting the throngs of stars that fill the skies, across the rolling landscape I see the same; the countless billions of souls that fill this world.

I do not speak merely of men, but of all that there is. Whenever I look I feel, I see the trees that stand before me, each a living sign of all that there is, created here by God. Look deep into the light and here too you can see the heavens. Each tree, each flower opening to receive the light of God, each single blade of grass, every animal that breathes, every blade of grass - they are each alive, each a living, breathing creation of God.

I do not sit and see, I look and feel. I feel the warmth of the sun, which warms my heart and rejuvenates my soul. I feel grounded with the earth on which I live. I feel the call of life from everything that exists, feel it's energy, it's soul.

Are they any different than I? Are they any less alive, living in the cycle of life, striving to be more than they are than I? Do they not live for the light and extend themselves gloriously upwards, in their way, reaching towards the hand of God? How are we so different?

I sit and I feel. I feel the touch of the earth and its promise for tomorrow. I feel a union of my soul with all that there is and the blessed hand of god. I feel the power of all that there is, and know it is all one. It is me. It is a thousand others. It is every whisper of God. We are all one. I look and I feel.

Life is like a whisper, listen close or you will miss it. ~Rich Lewis
