This website was begun during a personal search. In recent months it has intensified as I battle reoccurent colon cancer.

I am not a religious fanatic, or a minister, or in any way connected to the church, other than the fact that I occasionally go. The institution has a very important role and responsibility, but it is not my goal here to promote it. My belief is that the "real" work to be done must be done by the individual. 

I also do not feel comfortable being extremely vocal about all of this. Human psychology says we do not want to isolate ourselves, or place ourselves in a position on an issue that may result in controversy. Am I ready to be a martyr, or a priest, or work to convert people to God. No, or maybe, not yet. But, I do believe others may need, or can draw on, some of the experiences and thoughts I have had in this area, and maybe bring a little peace to their lives.

Isn't that what God is about? Learning to live within ourselves, and for the good of others. Learning to share and give, to love and hope. To believe. It is a journey of introspection, this search for faith. You have to look within yourself.
