Deep thoughts to contemplate...
From Deepak Chorpra's "The Way of the Wizard"
Our body is not "us" - it is a place where we collect our memories...
No mortal actually knows what death is, yet the impending event is so fearful that mortals fight against it with all their might, not realizing the tremendous disorder and chaos they are creating...
Try to imagine yourself younger - trace your life backwards, to a child, a baby, in the womb, being conceived. Now try to imagine yourself before you existed - can you? Imagine your future, growing older, gray, nearing the end - now imagine yourself not existing at all - can you?
Random thoughts;
Combine the many ideals of Deepak, adding in theory of time by Einstein. Theorists make hypothesis that time is relative. All moments in time take place at the same time.
Think back to that first moment of consciousness - the first time somewhere in the womb you became sentient - "I am". No experiences, no thoughts or ideals, just pure "you". Try and find that now. I just am - pure essence.
I have heard the statement we are are all a part of God.
Add in some personal thought...
I have had the thought to blend all of these things. Each of us is a small part, or piece of essence of God - "I AM" - I just am - a part of the entire existence of everything, every moment taking place at the same time, existing in the same moment at the same time. Take away memories, take away time, opinions, experiences - everything. I am. I am all. I am everything. We are.
We are all a part of God living in one instant of time, now and forever.
